Excursion #1
Phoebe-Snow cars. These cars were built in 1949 as train cars for watching the taverns for the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Phoebe-Snow trains. The train was named after an advertising character who always wore white clothes to promote clean burning coal fuels; on these cars he drove between Hoboken and Buffalo, and then under the auspices of the Erie Lackawanna railway in Chicago.
